Finished jewellery is judged on texture, water, colour, work and fractures, then on whether the mount can be opened. Rough is judged on skin, tract signals, any window, and what can still be cut. We buy natural Type-A jadeite only; B/C, dyed quartzite and glass stay out. No certificate is fine if the piece or a daylight video is clear: both faces, inner wall, fractures, water under the lamp. A photo quote is a range, not a hammer; the number waits for the stone in hand.

Four steps: send daylight photos, receive a range, ship or bring the piece, get a written offer. Accept, and we pay by the agreed rail; source and name stay private. Decline, and you take it back—no fee for the look. For a trade-in, the credit offsets new stock or a bespoke fee; the old stone can be reset or recarved, not forced through the saw. Large rough that still needs a window is priced with that risk said out loud.
