The heart is an icy oval cabochon; the petals are honey-yellow with pavé rims; leaves are marquise and pear yang-green jadeite; the forked stem is solid pavé. Green, ice-white and honey-yellow on one branch is a hard matching job.
一、花心为什么用冰种

冰种蛋面几乎无色，用来当「光」，绿叶才显得更绿。若花心也用满绿，整枝会糊成一块。黄瓣只起过渡，面积小于叶。花心用包镶或短爪，背面开窗。
An icy cabochon is almost colourless—it is light, so the green leaves read greener. A full-green heart would turn the branch into one blot. Yellow petals are only a bridge, smaller than the leaves. The heart is bezelled or short-pronged, open at the back.

马眼形长轴要顺着茎的生长方向，不能横插。黄石与绿叶穿插，避免「一边黄一边绿」。分叉的钻茎背面加筋，别在薄外套上才不塌。
The long axis of each marquise follows the stem, never across it. Yellow and green interleave so one side is not a stripe. The forked pavé stem is ribbed at the back so it does not collapse on a thin jacket.
